Georgetown Recap

Tough game to lose. The team played with Georgetown the entire game but got hit with a 8-2 run at the end of the game. I can’t believe we were in it at all shooting 31% from the field. Georgetown just flat out was the better team today. Jeff Green is probably the Big East Player of the Year. Hopefully, we can get another shot at them in two weeks in New York.

I don’t know what else to say about the game. I’m kind of upset that Georgetown basically ripped the Big East title out of our hands but they earned it. The team just needs to look past this game and get focused on beating WVU Tuesday.

Let’s make it rain on them hoopies on Tuesday and send off Gray, Kendall, Hudson, and Graves with a big win.

Nicely put Jas. Except for shooting and the amount of fouls we took, we completely outplayed them all game

i think our boy levon played very well defensively today (some crap calls on him notwithstanding), but i’m just frustrated that we refuse to step on a team’s throat when we have them down

  3. Derek Says:

Georgetown is a good team. They’re very similar to us, and in that sense they also weren’t going to let us walk all over them when we had them down 8. I hope we get a rubber match against them in NYC personally, cause it’d be a hell of a lot of fun to watch and it would be the best 2 Big East teams against each other at that point.

Levon played well???I’ll tell ya what playing well is not.It is not making 1 field goal and getting 4 fouls. It is not letting Hibbert, who is in foul trouble, take you to the basket each time.It is not creating space to get an open shot.Levon is not BE material. He needs to find a different way to step up.

  5. Jason Cramer Says:

Levon played great……really. I dont have the energy to do the same reasons again.

  6. Jason Cramer Says:

That was Green Hibbert was busy shutting down Gray

Pitt has lost the last 2 Senior Day games. The Zoo needs to be extra pumped Tuesday night and send off these seniors in the style they deserve. As a season ticket holder, we have not done a very admirable job sending off the seniors the last 2 years (anyone remember the boo’s 2 years ago? – it was embarrassing). I’m hoping the Zoo is ready and primed for the last home game – Aaron, Levon, Antonio and Doyle deserve the best that we can bring. Hail to Pitt!

last year’s senior day blew. The Krauser send off sucked most of the fans including the zoo were not in their seats for the ceremony. Its up to the zoo leaders to getthe zoo ready BEFORE THE GAME. Last year was a debacle.

  9. Anonymous Says:

Eh, i’m really not gonna miss these seniors.

  10. Anonymous Says:

miss them or not, still show them the respect for what they have done for pitt.

  11. Mountaineer #1 Says:

Get ready for your 2nd loss in a row. You’re going down.

  12. ~ The Oakland Zoo ~ Says:

Haha I dont think so. Hoopies will lose.

  13. Derek Says:

Completely delusional hoopies entertain me… what would we do without the brother/uncle/cousins of the world?

  14. Jason Cramer Says:

Unless you shoot over 50% from behind the arch Pitt is going to win. Sure we are coming off a loss but we didn’t lose by 18 to G-Town like you did. I hope we win really big to shut you guys up. You know slam your head off the floor like you were a stripper and we were Pac-Man.

  15. NIght Night Hoopies Says:

Time for the hoopies to be NIT bound.
