So, Pitt didn’t land Kevin Jones, as he decided to go to a terrible basketball program at WVU only because they’ll let him play small forward- in my opinion, his loss. He would have been able to play a great power forward, similar to what Sam Young plays here, and this school would have been a great fit. Today, however, Pitt landed the other PF who was here to watch the IUP game- Dwight Miller, a 6’8″, 220 power forward out of St. Pius X in Houston, Texas, committed to Pitt earlier today. While a late riser, Dwight has a few things going for him- not the least of which is his mentor, Hakeem Olajuwon. A video of them can be seen here. Olajuwon has praised Miller’s work ethic and natural basketball skill, and maybe Pitt and Jamie Dixon will be able to polish this kid into something great.
